Compare heat pump models
Three ranges, nine models. Every figure below is taken from the manufacturer's own data sheet or installation manual — all of which you can download at the bottom of this page. Heights matter: check the space your old unit sits in before you choose.
Viva — the value pick, and the most efficient
One capacity, two finishes. At COP 4.97 the Viva is the most efficient unit on this page bar the Emerald Pro 320 — and it's the cheapest thing we install. Full-inverter with a variable speed compressor and fan, A++ rated, TÜV SÜD certified, 43 dB, and built-in Wi-Fi. Runs to −7°C on the heat pump alone, or −15°C with the element.
NeoPower — the quiet one
Matte black, three sizes. R290 natural refrigerant, COP 4.33, and at 42 dB the quietest of the three ranges on the manufacturers' own measurements. Also the narrowest at 620 mm, which matters down a side path.
Emerald Select — grey finish
Australian designed since 2006. COP 4.19–4.41, R290 with a GWP of 3, and rated to +46°C ambient — the widest heat range of anything we fit.
Emerald Pro — white finish
The top of the range, and the most efficient unit we install at COP 4.8–5.2. Also the shortest at every capacity — a 320L Pro is 90mm lower than a 320L Select, which matters under a low eave.
The whole range on one table
COP is measured at the same condition for every unit — air 20°C/15°C, water heated from 15°C to 55°C — so these numbers are directly comparable.
