Air conditioning installed by our own electrical & plumbing team
Reverse cycle systems from a 2.5kW split to a 20kW ducted install. Get off gas heating, keep the comfort, and cut the running cost — with the plumbing, the electrical and the gas decommissioning all done by the same company on the same day.
Which one suits your house?
The right answer usually comes down to how many rooms you actually want conditioned and whether there's roof space to run ducts. We'll tell you straight which one makes sense.

Split system sizing, honestly
Undersizing is the most common mistake — the unit runs flat out on the hottest day and never quite gets there. These are the numbers we work to before we adjust for your ceilings, glass and aspect.
| System | Recommended room size | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5kW | Up to 20m² | Bedroom, study, small living area |
| 3.5kW | Up to 35m² | Master bedroom, medium lounge |
| 7.6kW | Up to 70m² | Open plan living, high ceilings |
Getting off gas heating is the single biggest saving in most Melbourne homes
Gas ducted heating is one of the most expensive ways left to heat a house in Victoria. Reverse cycle does the same job for a fraction of the running cost, because — like a heat pump hot water system — it moves heat rather than burning something to create it.
It also removes the carbon monoxide risk that comes with any gas appliance, and it gives you cooling in summer from the same equipment. On many homes the existing ductwork can be reused, which keeps the changeover cost down considerably.
DC inverter technology adjusts fan and compressor speed to the actual room temperature rather than cycling hard on and off, so you don't get the hot-and-cold swing older systems are known for.
Year-round control
Reverse cycle gives you efficient heating and cooling from one system. Switch modes as the weather turns.
Wi-Fi and app control
Manage the climate in your home from anywhere with AC Link and the Emerald app.
Cleaner air
Filtration removes common airborne pollutants, and there's no combustion happening inside the house.
Retrofit or new build
Designed to fit existing homes as readily as new construction — including tight roof spaces.
Emerald Energy ducted and split systems
Emerald is the same Australian manufacturer behind the heat pumps we fit, going since 2006. We supply and install their ducted systems and single head splits, and because we hold the electrical licence the circuit and the unit are done on the one visit.
Single head split systems
Three sizes — 2.5 kW, 3.5 kW and 7.6 kW — so there's a fit for a bedroom through to an open-plan living area. Reverse cycle, so it heats through winter as well as cools.
- High efficiency DC inverter
- Anti-corrosion treatment on the outdoor unit, condenser, fins and fastenings
- One-click self cleaning
- Demand Response compliant (DRM1, DRM2, DRM3)
- 5 year system warranty, 2 years labour and service
Ducted Ultra 16 kW
VRF system for whole-home temperature control, with high static pressure so the air actually reaches the far end of the duct run.
- Auto Adjust External Static Pressure sets the airflow at commissioning
- Cold Wind Limit holds outlet air between 10 and 16°C
- Eco mode — up to 30% less power
- Flared refrigerant connections, so no welding or brazing in your roof space
- 7 year system warranty, 5 years labour and service

Both trades. One company. No subcontractors.
Almost every energy job in a Melbourne home crosses two trades — the plumbing and the electrical. Not every company selling energy products holds either licence, so it's worth asking who will actually be standing in your house on the day. We hold both licences and employ both trades.
Worth asking before you sign Check
- Who does the install — your own employees, or a subcontracted crew?
- Is the plumbing and the electrical done by the same company, on the same day?
- Is the person quoting me paid on commission?
- Is this price fixed, and has anyone looked at my switchboard yet?
- In year five, who do I ring about a warranty claim?

What size split system do I need?
As a guide: 2.5kW suits a room up to 20m², 3.5kW up to 35m², and 7.6kW up to 70m². Ceiling height, insulation, window area and which way the room faces all shift it, so we confirm on site rather than guessing off floor area alone.
Split, ducted or multi-head — which one?
A split system heats and cools one room or open area and is the cheapest and quickest to install. Ducted does the whole house from one system through ceiling vents, with up to 8 zones. Multi-head runs several indoor units off a single outdoor unit — the answer when you want three or four rooms done without three or four outdoor boxes on the wall.
Can reverse cycle replace my gas ducted heating?
Yes, and on many homes it's a like-for-like replacement using the existing ductwork. Reverse cycle is substantially cheaper to run than gas ducted, it removes the carbon monoxide risk entirely, and it gives you cooling in summer from the same system.
Do you handle the rebates?
Yes. Split system air conditioning is eligible under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program, and we handle the certificate paperwork. As an accredited installer we claim on your behalf so the value comes off your price rather than being something you chase.
What's the warranty?
Split systems: 5 years on the system and 2 years labour and service. Ducted and multi-head: 7 years on the system and 5 years labour and service. Those are the manufacturer's terms as published on the data sheets, which you can download from this page.
Who does the electrical work?
We do. Air conditioning installs frequently need a dedicated circuit or a switchboard upgrade, and we hold the electrical licence in house — REC 36222. No waiting on a second company to come back.
